The Wonder of Faithful Stewardship
  • Good response to pledge drives
  • Strong giving levels
  • Debt free financials
  • Strong support of local and world wide disasters
Stewardship can be seen as an indicator of faithfulness. It is an act of faith for individuals and families to give of their wealth to the church, in thankfulness for God's presence in their lives and in willingness to work with God for God's purposes. It is also an act of faith for the church to plan ministry programs in the budget process, believing the resources will indeed be available to carry them out.
From both of these perspectives, Carleton UMC has a solid faith foundation. We take seriously the task of budgeting, using that process to refine our goals in ministry. It is one thing to say we want to be a missional church, for example, and another to actually assign budgeted dollars to Ministry Jubilee.
The result of this commitment to stewardship is a church with the resources to work toward the ministries God is calling us to in our congregation, our community, and the world.
