SUNDAY EVENING PRAYER GROUP
The Sunday Evening Prayer Group continue to meet the first and third Sundays of the month at 6:30pm. We begin in the Chapel for with group concerns and joint prayer then we are free to move about the building to continue our prayer time. This is a great time to just sit and hear the Lord speak to you. This group is not a closed group and you may join at anytime.


THE SOCIETY X
The Society X youth fellowship group would like to invite all youth grades 6th through the 12th and their parents to a planning time tonight at 6pm. Parents this will be a short meeting to discuss activities for the year. Please bring your kids school schedules and other calendar needs, so we can map out our year.


CORN MAZE FOR 2008
The 4th Annual Corn Maze on the property of The Carleton United Methodist Church will open on Friday, September 19th and run every Friday and Saturday (weather permitting) through Saturday, October 25th. Operation times are Fridays 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m and Saturdays 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Admittance to the maze is $4.00 per person. This is a family friendly maze with nothing intended to be scary or frightening. Those who insist of acting in this manner will be escorted from the maze without a refund. The admission price includes the maze (enter as many times as you like), hayride, mini golf and bon-fire. Groups of 10 or more are asked to call ahead. More information is available by calling the church at 734-654-2833. Don't forget we are in need of volunteers to help in all aspects of the maze from ticket booth to security.


DISCIPLE BIBLE STUDY OPPORTUNITIES
Sign up continues with the Daytime (Wednesday at 1pm) for the Yellow book class starting on August 20th for the Yellow Book. The Tuesday Night 6:30pm Yellow book class will begin on September 9th. We are hoping to start another group on the Disciple I Red book. This group is now forming, so if you have been wanting to advance your Bible knowledge this is the place to start. Call the church office 734-654-2833 as soon as possible to get on the class list.


TRUNK AND TREAT
The Annual Trunk and Treat party for all children grades 5th and younger will be on Sunday, October 26th beginning at 5pm. Costumes are encouraged but not necessary and we ask that there are no scary or gruesome costumes and no sharp objects involved. Cars lining the parking can also be decorated if you so wish. If you would like more information or need to sign up your child, please call the church office 734-654-2833 as soon as possible.
